I am a freelance journalist, currently based in Kinshasa, DR Congo. I was trained at Cologne School for Journalism and graduated from University of Cologne with a Bachelor Degree in Economics. I continued with an International Relations Master Program at TU Dresden.

I am mostly working at the intersection between economics, politics and ecological issues. Predominantly, my work is published in German media (e.g. Handelsblatt, t3n, Die Zeit, WDR5, ZDF, wiwo.de, spiegel.de) yet I am always glad to appear in programs such as Deutsche Welle’s english news.

Between August 2018 and April 2019, I was staying in the DRC, where I reported among others on the Ebola outbreak, the presidential elections and cobalt mining. Now I am back in the country again – though with a strong focus on climate related issues.

Occasionally, I moderate panels and give radio and TV interviews.
